Second opinion

Get an independent second opinion on your dental treatment plan

Big dental decisions deserve a calm second look. Whether you have been quoted for implants, told a tooth must come out, or offered aligners, an independent review helps you understand the plan and ask the right questions before you commit your time and money.

When a second opinion is worth it

  • You have been advised extraction and want to know whether the tooth could be saved
  • You have a quote for implants, crowns, bridges or full-mouth work and want to understand what it includes
  • You are choosing between braces and clear aligners, or between clinic and at-home aligner plans
  • You have had a root canal before and the same tooth is hurting again
  • Two dentists have told you different things
  • The treatment is expensive or irreversible and you simply want reassurance

What you can upload

Files are stored privately in India. Only the reviewing dentist and authorised staff can open them, through short-lived secure links, and photos are re-saved on your device to remove hidden location data.

  • X-ray or OPG: a clear photo of the film held against a window, or the digital file
  • Clear photographs of the teeth or gums concerned
  • The written treatment plan or quotation, including any itemised costs
  • Previous prescriptions, reports or treatment notes

What you receive

A second opinion based on records has limits: it cannot replace an examination, and the final decision should be made with the dentist who will treat you. Our aim is to help you have a better conversation with them, not to take sides.

  • A written opinion on the proposed treatment in plain language
  • Alternatives that may be worth discussing, where relevant
  • Questions to ask your treating dentist before you decide
  • A clear note of anything that can only be confirmed by an in-person examination

Independent by design

We are not selling you the treatment, so the opinion is about what makes sense for your teeth. Where treatment is needed, we will say so clearly; where a simpler option may exist, we will explain it so you can discuss it with your dentist.

Frequently asked questions

Will you criticise my dentist?

No. The aim is to help you understand your options and ask good questions, not to judge another clinician.

How long does it take?

The expected turnaround is shown when you book, and you will be told on WhatsApp if anything changes.

Do I need an X-ray?

An X-ray helps a lot for root canal, implant and wisdom tooth questions. If you do not have one, the dentist will tell you whether photographs are enough or an X-ray is needed.

Can I ask questions after I get the opinion?

If something in the written opinion is unclear, message us on WhatsApp. For a detailed discussion, you can also book an online consultation.
