How AskMyDentist collects, uses, stores and protects your personal and health data.
Who we are
AskMyDentist is operated by AskMyDentist.in ("we"). We are the data fiduciary for personal data you share through this website.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, mobile number, optional email, area of residence
- Health information you choose to share: your dental concern, photographs, X-rays, prescriptions and treatment plans
- Booking and payment records (we never see or store your card or UPI credentials)
- Technical data such as pages visited and campaign source (UTM), collected only with your consent
Why we use it
- To provide the consultation or second opinion you request
- To contact you about your booking on our business phone/WhatsApp
- To process payments and refunds
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell your data and do not use your health information for advertising.
Who can see it
Only the consulting dentist and authorised staff, on a need-to-know basis. Service providers that host our systems or process payments handle data on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep consultation records, including files you upload, for three years after your last consultation, in line with professional record-keeping rules, and then delete them securely. You can ask us to delete an enquiry that did not go ahead at any time.
Your rights
You may request access, correction or erasure of your data, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. Contact contact@askmydentist.in.
Questions and complaints
Write to contact@askmydentist.in with the subject "Grievance". We acknowledge every message within 2 working days and resolve it within 30 days.
